Discovery Bank launched as one of the most ambitious digital banking products South Africa had seen and I was part of the team that brought it to life on web. Tasked with bridging the gap between a cutting-edge agency UI and Discovery’s existing component library and CMS, I designed and aligned new and existing components to create a cohesive experience that worked within real technical constraints without compromising the vision.
The challenge was honest: the agency had built something ahead of what the existing system could support. My job was to close that gap finding solutions that honoured the premium look and feel of Discovery Bank while integrating seamlessly into the broader Discovery ecosystem.
Discovery Bank is now South Africa’s leading full-service digital retail bank. I’m proud to have contributed to the foundation it launched on.
